To design and manufacture jigs and fixtures to drawing specification and carry out PM activities on Power Press Tools

Key duties and responsibilities include:

· Design, fabricate & commission new jigs and fixtures to provide process capability for production processes

· To order materials and tools for jigs and fixtures needed for the above

· To carry out preventative maintenance programs on power press tools, jigs and fixtures

· To design and produce new machinery tooling to achieve product specifications

· To support new product introductions ensuring they have the equipment and processes to achieve

· To support new equipment installations

· Identify continuous improvement activities and implement the actions

Relevant qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience:

· Level 3 in an Engineering Discipline

· Understanding of engineering drawings & critical dimensions

· Knowledge of materials used for jigs/fixtures; tool steels, hardening etc

· Auto-CAD for design activities

· CNC programming

· Mills, lathes, grinders, wire eroder, spark eroder

· Able to use quality measuring equipment e.g. verniers, mics to produce parts to drawing tolerances

· Experience of producing jigs and fixtures to drawing tolerances

Desirable:

· Level 4 in an Engineering Discipline

· Experience of maintaining power press tools
