Reporting into: Continuous Improvement Manager

At our facility in Plymouth, Rittal-CSM employs around 550 people involved in a wide range of Engineering and Manufacturing activities.

We’re looking for three Process Engineers to oversee and take ownership of improving processes for each of our Production areas (Paint, Assembly and Sheet Metal)

Duties include:-

  • The effective development of methods and procedures incorporating ROS elements within all areas of the business; implementation, application, auditing and control of ROS elements.
  • To facilitate and promote continuous improvement in the assigned area of the business. Projects to be focused on production processes designed to drive improvements in productivity, output and lean principles.
  • Cost control. To participate in the control of costs through-out activities whether directly or indirectly responsible.
  • Close liaison with technical departments (IE and Maintenance) and other departments to support the provision of excellent levels of customer service.
  • Shop floor facilitators of 6S continuous improvement methodology and behaviours at all levels of the business.

Skills we’re looking for:

  • Engineering degree, lean business improvements and / or similar qualification (Note: Extensive experience will be considered as an alternative.)
  • Strong Engineering and or Manufacturing background
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing process
  • MRP, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • A track record of achieving demanding production targets
  • Data analysis
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Teamwork within a similar working environment.
