We are looking for a driven and dedicated Head of Department to join our Quality Auditing team. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the team deliver auditing compliance to internal and external standards.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate Head of Department to join our Quality Auditing team and contribute to our mission of excellence in quality and engineering.

Job Description:
As a Head of Department, you will play a key role in driving the success of the Quality Auditing and end of line inspector teams. Your responsibilities will include:

Safety – Ensuring all foundations are in place to provide an accident-free workplace.
• Ensure all actions carried out are conducted safely and in-line with the risk assessment
Quality – Ensure compliance to internal and external standards
• Manage the day to day activities of the Quality Aduit and End of Line team.
• Managing audit in sheet metal and assembly to ensure product escapes are minimal.
• Lead the document control activities ensuring process documents are controlled and relevant.
• Provide training on quality and business processes where necessary
• Supporting the internal quality management audits to ensure internal and external audit compliance.
• Managing team holidays and appraisals throughout the year.
• Deal with escalations and make the appropriate decision on acceptance criteria.
People – Self Management
• To be assertive and resilient to ensure audits are carried out objectively.
• Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others.
• Proactively contributes to the team.

Qualifications and experience:
We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. Whilst qualifications give you the knowledge to be successful in this role, experience and soft skills will play a huge part in this role. To be successful in this role, you should have:

Essential
• Leadership experience in a quality environment
• Knowledge of measurement systems and processes
• Working knowledge of business systems
• Work to deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative
• 3 years’ experience in a quality related role managing teams within a manufacturing business
Desirable
• Engineering degree or extensive experience in a similar engineering role
• ISO 9001:2015 QMS experience
• Qualified Internal Auditor
• Experience of problem-solving systems and procedures

This role will also offer you a brilliant rewards package which includes:
• A salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.
• Company bonus based on attendance, productivity, and quality.

This is a full-time position, based on working Monday – to Friday, 39 hours a week.
