Rittal-CSM Open Day : 4 September 2021

A very good day was had by all – with wall to wall sunshine – everyone seemed to have fun, especially the kids, which was great to see. There was certainly plenty to entertain all.

With free barbeque, complete with jacket potato’s, salad, crepes, soft drinks, tea and coffee for all staff.

For the first time, a bar was available with employees able to enjoy a beer or 2. This went down very well on a very hot day and it was pleasing to see that employees, family and friends acted responsibly.

The pony carriage ride, which was a new addition, went down very well, as did the miniature Shetland pony’s specifically for the toddlers.

Scotty’s Amusements supplied  trampolines, coconut shy, shooting arcade and penny arcade and gave away plenty of gifts of coconuts, sweets and toys to the winners, and even to some of the unluckier participants walked off with prizes.

Fun Matters had their bouncy castles, giant bouncy assault course, archery, Segway’s, skittle alley, chicken suits, surf board and giant garden games, more than enough even for the most energetic child.

There were craft stalls where people could thread beads and create their own jewellry.

Billy Wiz kept the kids entertained with a couple of his magic shows, singalongs and other entertaining items throughout the day, great children’s act.

Factory tours were arranged to give family and friends an insight to what Rittal-CSM actually make, and the processes behind the manufacture.

I do hope that those that attended the day enjoyed themselves.
